that came when Chris commented on my FB post about travel plans for this year (Paris, Bali, Germany, with Miami beach and Germany already under the belt) with Ludacris’ video “Pimpin’ All Over The World.”
I’m in Miami for an extremely relaxing and fun work weekend. We arrived on Thursday and leave tomorrow.
Pam and I went to trapeze school today and we both had successful catches on our first tries!
We had an amazing watergun fight in the park across the street from my house yesterday. Some sweet neighborhood kids joined in, and it ended up being one of our best summer afternoons <3.
to New York City! I’ll be soaking in the fun ‘n’ sun in Florida for a week or two, then I start being a super nanny in Manhattan and being with my favorite people!
I’ve been grateful for this man for over a year now. Since February, 2011, he’s shown me amazing kindness and affection, through two different cities and across lots of different circumstances. <3
Sara Miles on Christianity: “What I heard and continue to hear, is a voice that can crack religious and political convictions open, that advocates for the least qualified, least official, least likely; that upsets the established order and makes a joke of certainty. It proclaims against reason that the hungry will be fed, that those cast down will be raised up, and that all things, including my own failures, are being made new. It offers food without exception to the worthy and the unworthy, the screwed up and the pious, and then commands everyone to do the same. It doesn’t promise to solve or erase suffering but to transform it, pledging that by loving one another, even through pain, we will find more life. And it insists by opening ourselves to strangers, the despised or frightening or unintelligible other, we will see more and more of the holy, since, without exception, all people are one body: God’s.”
Kurtis showed Matt & Kim how to party UN style. I love that scruffy, silly boy.
